Alhamdulillah, our new project on the completion of the Qiraa’ah of Kisaa’ee in 60 sittings has officially begun. Fourteen individuals who met the qualification criteria registered to be part of this program. The project is uniquely devised in a manner which allows each student to recite to those teachers who are most easily accessible to them. They are thus not restricted to any specific time slot or physical address in taking part in this endeavour.
The orientation for this program took place at al-Tanzīl, where M. Saleem Gaibie outlined the basic protocol each student needs to adhere to in order to make a success of this course. He emphasised to the students the importance of having a sincere intention in wanting to be part of this program, as well as the necessity of meeting at least once a week with their teacher to recite. All students received text books as well as progress books to monitor their progress throughout the course.
This is most certainly a unique project and a first for Cape Town. The culmination of this project will in-sha Allah result in fourteen new individuals becoming sanad-holders in the Qiraa’ah of Kisaa’ee.
