Curriculum
Al-Tanzīl offers a uniquely devised training-course which aims to enhance students, huffāth, reciters and all ardent learners or Quran lovers in all aspects of Quranic study.
This course will provide the student with understanding of the Arabic language, allowing him to grasp this communiqué, al-Quran. It will also offer in-depth discussions on Tajwīd and Qirā`āt, utilising classical works while comparing it with contemporary studies.
Ulum al-Quran is one of the pivotal subjects introduced so that students may understand basic and necessary facts about the Quran: when certain verses were revealed, why they were revealed, how the Quran was revealed, compiled, the history of Qirā`āt, etc.
The program allows students to study various specialised texts in the field of Qirā`āt and Tajwīd, the likes of the Tuhfah, the Jazariyyah and ultimately the Shātibiyyah as well as the Seven, Ten and Fourteen Qirā`āt.
Sanads and ijazāt are issued to students who have successfully fulfilled the necessary requirements and achieved satisfactory results. Ijazāt are not restricted to the Quran, but to all the texts and books taught in the course.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND & REQUIREMENTS
The course is specifically designed for the hāfith of the Quran. However, anyone who wishes to improve their recitation of the Quran, as well as understand what they are reciting and enhance their relationship with Quran may attend the classes.
The minimum requirement is that the student is fluent in his recitation of the Quran.
